Our Offerings
At Intuitive Acupuncture, we offer an integrative healing approach that honors the whole person — body, mind, and spirit. Each of our services is rooted in the wisdom of Chinese medicine and designed to support your unique path to wellness.
Acupuncture
Our signature service — a holistic, integrative approach that treats pain, stress, and a wide range of conditions by restoring your body’s natural balance.
Acupuncture is a 3,000-year-old system of medicine that works by stimulating specific points on the body to restore the flow of qi (vital energy) and promote the body’s innate healing ability. At Intuitive Acupuncture, every treatment is tailored to you — we take the time to understand your full picture and craft a protocol that addresses the root cause, not just the symptoms.

Sports Medicine Acupuncture
Drawing from two distinct lineages — Matt Callison’s Sports Medicine Acupuncture® program and Whitfield Reaves’ clinical apprenticeship — for precise, athlete-centered care.
Sports Medicine Acupuncture draws from two foundational lineages that Jonathan has been honored to study under directly. These aren’t weekend seminars — they represent years of dedicated, hands-on training that shape every treatment he provides.
Jonathan is a Certified Sports Medicine Acupuncturist (C.SMA), having completed Matt Callison’s rigorous Sports Medicine Acupuncture® certification program. This structured program bridges classical Chinese channel sinew theory with Western biomechanical assessment and motor point acupuncture, creating a framework for treating orthopedic and sports injuries with precision. The C.SMA certification represents an advanced clinical competency in evaluating and treating the musculoskeletal system through an integrated East–West lens.
Jonathan graduated from Whitfield Reaves’ apprenticeship program — one of the most respected and intimate training paths in sports acupuncture. Whitfield’s mentorship-based model emphasizes real-time clinical reasoning, palpation skill, and adaptability. Working directly under Whitfield refined Jonathan’s ability to read the body in motion and respond with confidence to complex presentations that textbooks alone can’t prepare you for.
Together, these two lineages inform a treatment approach that is both structurally rigorous and energetically whole — giving Jonathan the tools to serve a wide range of patients.
Our Approach to Healing
The patients who thrive in this work share something in common: they see themselves as an equal — or even greater — partner in their own healing. Recovery isn’t something that happens to you on a treatment table. It asks you to show up, to be willing to perceive your pain from a different angle, and to understand that what feels like injury is often the body revealing an imbalance that’s been building quietly — through years of repetitive movement patterns in sport, compensatory habits, or simply the way life has shaped your posture and mechanics. When a patient is motivated to explore that shift in perspective, the work becomes transformative. Together, we address both static and dynamic imbalances at their root, creating lasting change rather than chasing symptoms.

Cupping Therapy
Ancient suction technique using cups to improve circulation, release deep muscle tension, and support the body’s natural detoxification processes.
Cupping therapy uses specialized cups to create suction on the skin, drawing blood to the surface to improve circulation, release fascial adhesions, and relieve deep muscle tension. At Intuitive Acupuncture, cupping is often combined with acupuncture for a comprehensive treatment. The temporary marks left by cupping are a sign of improved circulation — not bruising.
Commonly Addressed
- Back & neck pain
- Muscle tension & stiffness
- Respiratory congestion
- Fibromyalgia
- Sports recovery
- Inflammation
- Stress & anxiety
- Scar tissue adhesions
- Poor circulation
- Detoxification support
Moxibustion
Therapeutic heat therapy using dried mugwort burned near acupuncture points to stimulate circulation, warm the body, and strengthen immune function.
Moxibustion involves burning dried mugwort (moxa) near or on acupuncture points to generate deep, penetrating warmth that stimulates qi flow and blood circulation. It is especially effective for conditions caused by cold, dampness, or deficiency patterns. Moxa has been shown to support immune function, improve uterine blood flow, and relieve chronic pain.
Commonly Addressed
- Cold & deficiency patterns
- Arthritis & joint pain
- Digestive weakness
- Immune deficiency
- Menstrual irregularities
- Fatigue & low vitality
- Breech presentation

Microneedling
Precision microneedling to stimulate collagen production, reduce fine lines, improve skin texture, and restore a radiant complexion — natural skin renewal from within.
Microneedling uses a precision device to create controlled micro-channels in the skin, triggering the body’s natural wound-healing response and stimulating collagen and elastin production. The result is visibly firmer, smoother, and more radiant skin over time. At Intuitive Acupuncture, we integrate Chinese medicine principles to enhance outcomes and support whole-body skin health.
Commonly Addressed
- Fine lines & wrinkles
- Acne scars & hyperpigmentation
- Uneven skin texture
- Enlarged pores
- Sun damage
- Loss of firmness
- Stretch marks
- Rosacea
- Dark circles
- Dull or dehydrated skin
Gua Sha / Graston
Instrument-assisted soft tissue technique that breaks up fascial adhesions, reduces inflammation, and restores range of motion — effective for stubborn chronic pain.
Gua Sha and Graston technique both use smooth-edged instruments to apply controlled friction across the skin and fascia. This breaks up scar tissue and adhesions, promotes lymphatic flow, and triggers an immune response that accelerates tissue healing. While gua sha is rooted in Chinese medicine tradition, Graston technique uses precision stainless steel tools developed for sports medicine.
Commonly Addressed

- IT band syndrome
- Tendinopathy
- Shoulder impingement
- Plantar fasciitis

Therapeutic massage and hands-on bodywork techniques that release deep tissue tension, restore mobility, and complement your acupuncture treatment plan.
Our bodywork offerings combine therapeutic massage, deep tissue work, and myofascial release to address the layers of tension, restriction, and holding patterns in the body. Sessions are tailored to your specific needs and may include trigger point therapy, stretching, and breath work. Bodywork is a powerful complement to acupuncture, extending and deepening the therapeutic effects of your treatment.

Ultra-fine needles are placed at specific facial and body points to stimulate collagen production, improve local circulation, and address underlying constitutional imbalances that contribute to premature aging. Results improve cumulatively with a series of treatments.
